What does a tracking analysis check?

A headless browser loads your page, captures network requests, accepts the cookie banner automatically and measures what changes. A scan takes 15 to 30 seconds and needs no login or installation.

Why most websites fail this test

The usual problems are trackers firing before consent, missing Consent Mode v2 and duplicate GA4 collection. GA4 installed both through GTM and directly in the page code is a frequent cause.

Trackers we detect

The scanner checks over 30 technologies across analytics, advertising, heatmaps and CRM, including GA4, Meta Pixel, Hotjar and HubSpot.

GDPR and tracking in 2026

Cookie consent rules have applied since 2018 and enforcement has intensified. Sweden's IMY has issued substantial fines. The core principle is that tracking of personal data should not run before active acceptance.

Frequently asked questions

Is the analysis really free?

Yes. No account, payment or data storage is required.

How does the scanner accept my cookie banner?

A headless browser clicks the accept button. It supports the major consent platforms and custom banners through text-based detection.

What does it mean if a tracker fires before consent?

It collects or sends visitor data before permission is given. GA4 or Meta Pixel firing early is a serious issue.

What is Consent Mode v2 and why does it matter?

It lets Google tags adapt to each visitor's consent status. It has been mandatory for EU Google Ads advertisers since March 2024.

What happens after the scan?

You get a report with a compliance score, detected trackers, violations and the status of Consent Mode, GTM and your consent platform. You can then ask for help fixing what it found.
